blotched job#1: Q-Steer Headlights attempt1
Got this mini R/C called Q-Steer just this week. Heres how i attempted to mod it by adding headlights, much like many other customizers did.

I took apart the chasis in order to fix the front wheel which tended to be jammed often. Seems like TakaraTomy
glued the chasis onto the lower body. Removing the chasis's rear latch and bending it up/down continiously would loosen the dried glue, allowing the chasis to come off. It is able to fit nicely again with just by snaping it back.

There appears to be 3 different types of PCB board layout i found on the internet. All appears similar, I decided to follow the one that looks closely like mine:

The chasis was masked off except for the 2 headlights. The paint was removed slowly using cotton buds dapped with small dozes of thinner.

The LED is connected in parallel to the power supply on the PCB and test fited to the chasis.

So far its working, except when the bus is moving the LED dims a little. Perhaps my battery is weak. Also might have to scout for smaller LEDs as its size seems to interfere with the front wheel's steering.

It will be cool if you can add in solar power, some smoke and upgrade the battery to take the additional power load.

Really cool idea! I would certainly mod one should i come accross a solar panel small and light enought for the car to carry and be able to generate sufficient power to move the car itself. Someone please help me look for one.
